Users Of WhatsApp Desktop Can Now Access Status From Chat List

(CTN NEWS) – WhatsApp, owned by Meta, has been adding more features and simplifying the interface for Desktop users.

The desktop app now has the ability to create polls, and the app will shortly release its most recent version to allow users to read status updates within their chat list.

With the most recent upgrade to the WhatsApp desktop version of the social messaging service, the feature is currently accessible to a select group of beta testers, according to WABetaInfo.

The capability was previously made available to beta users after revisions to Android 2.22.19.17 and iOS 22.18.0.70, which allowed users to view status updates directly in the chat list.

“Users can simply check those who published a status update within the status section and see whether a ring around the profile photo comes up within the chat list to see if the feature is activated after an update,” WABetaInfo said.

If the most recent WhatsApp feature is not yet accessible to you, it will be after it is rolled out to all users at a later time.
