BANGKOK – A tragic motorcycle crash in Pathum Thani left two men dead after their big bike lost control and struck a utility pole. A dashcam video also captured the moment the motorcycle veered off course and hit the pole.
Police received the report around 12:20 a.m. on July 5, 2026. The crash happened on a local road near the entrance to Ratchaphruek Market in the Mueang Ek area of Pathum Thani. Officers from Pak Khlong Rangsit Police Station went to the scene with a doctor from the Forensic Medicine Institute, police patrol units, and volunteers from the Poh Teck Tung Foundation.

At the scene, officers found a Yamaha XMAX 300, white and black in color, with Bangkok license plate 1 ฆผ-6725. The front of the motorcycle was badly damaged after the collision. Two men were found lying nearby in a pool of blood.
The victims were identified as 37-year-old Thanarak Phloemueang, who lived in Ban Pho district of Chachoengsao, and 37-year-old Thammada Oncharoen. Initial information showed that both men were staff members and volunteers with the Ruamkatanyu Foundation in Pathum Thani.
According to the first witness statements, the two men were riding back from the Mueang Ek area. They crossed a bridge over a canal, then moved left toward a shortcut in front of Ratchaphruek Market so they could make a U-turn under the railway overpass and head back toward their home on the other side.

Police Investigate Motorcycle Crash Scene
Investigators believe the motorcycle was traveling at high speed, lost balance, and slammed into the pole. The impact killed both the rider and the passenger.
Police Inspector Pol. Sub-Lt. Namchok Duangsuwan examined the crash site and joined the forensic inspection with the doctor on duty and other related officials. Officers also photographed the scene and recorded evidence for the case file.
The bodies were later handed over to Poh Teck Tung Foundation personnel and sent for autopsy at the Forensic Medicine Institute under the Ministry of Justice on Soi Sai Samrong in Mueang district, Pathum Thani. They were also taken to the forensic unit at Thammasat University Hospital, Rangsit Center, for another review of the cause of death.
Police will contact the families so they can claim the bodies and carry out the funeral rites. The dashcam footage will also help investigators confirm how the motorcycle lost control before the fatal impact.
