Tesla Plans To Fix 1.62 Million Vehicles In China.

(CTN News) – Tesla has taken proactive measures to address safety concerns by initiating a recall on 1.62 million vehicles in China. This recall includes popular models such as the S, X, 3, and Y.

The decision to recall these vehicles comes after two previous recalls in the United States, indicating the company’s commitment to ensuring the safety of its customers.

The China State Administration for Market Regulation has stated that Tesla can remotely upgrade the vehicles to address the identified issues.

This means that will be providing an over-the-air software update for 1.61 million units, which includes both imported Models S and X, as well as China-made Models 3 and Y manufactured between 2014 and 2023.

The purpose of this update is to prevent the misuse of the Autosteer function and reduce the risk of collisions.

In addition to the software update, Tesla will also be upgrading the software for 7,538 units of Models S and X to resolve the problem of doors potentially unlocking during crashes.

This shows commitment to addressing any potential safety concerns and ensuring the well-being of its customers.

It is worth noting that also taken similar actions in the United States. The company has already started recalling over 2 million vehicles in the US to install additional safety measures in its Autopilot advanced driver-assistance system, following concerns raised by a federal regulator.

Furthermore, Tesla has recalled slightly over 120,000 Model S and Model X vehicles in the United States due to the risk of doors becoming unlocked and opening during a crash.

Overall, Tesla’s proactive approach to recalls and software updates demonstrates its commitment to customer safety and satisfaction.

By addressing potential issues and providing necessary upgrades, Tesla aims to ensure that its vehicles continue to meet the highest safety standards.
