With Windows 10, Microsoft Brings AI-Driven Background Removal
(CTN News) – Microsoft Pictures has been updated with an additional feature called “Generative Erase”, which has been added to the app.
Using this feature, users will be able to selectively remove items from their photos using artificial intelligence in order to improve the quality of the pictures
In consequence of this achievement, Microsoft has now caught up to Google and Samsung, two companies that are both offering similar services when it comes to the editing of pictures powered by artificial intelligence.
Microsoft’s solution is different from those available for other platforms in that it is backported to Windows 10 and is available for Windows 11. There is also a difference in that it supports Arm64 devices, and is available for Windows 11.
This update will include a number of improvements that will be rolled out in future Windows user updates, which will include the removal of the background, which is currently being tested by Windows Insiders and should be rolled out in the near future.
The statement by Microsoft did not make any mention of whether the AI-edited images would be accompanied by watermarks or metadata that would help to identify them as being AI-edited in a unique way.
Especially Microsoft, when it comes to machine learning applications development, because they compete against one another to launch the most innovative and modern products on the market.
In addition, when they are trying to find customers and expand their business activities, there is a lot of competition between them.
