HUAWEI CHIP BUSINESS RETURNS THIS YEAR, NEW RUMOURS SAY

(CTN News) – Huawei was involved in a wide range of businesses before the US imposed sanctions on the company. It is important to note that Huawei is a very large company that manufactures a range of gadgets and equipment related to technology.

In addition to telecommunication equipment, smartphones, and laptops, the company was a major player in the chip manufacturing sector as well.

One of the best chips on the market for smartphones is Huawei’s Kirin chips. As compared to most chips, it was fast, efficient, and reliable.

The company, however, had to halt the production of Kirin chips and all other chips as a result of the situation. A result of sanctions imposed by the government of the United States.

It is no secret that Huawei has been doing all it can to survive ever since the sanctions kicked in. Despite the company’s lower sales, it still produces some excellent phones and other products, despite the company’s low sales.

All signs point to the fact that the Chinese technology giant is gradually recovering from the wounds of the sanctions that have been inflicted upon it over the past few years.

CHIPS ARE TO BE PRODUCED BY HUAWEI IN A NEW WAY

An article from Huawei Central suggests that Huawei’s chip design company, HiSilicon, may have found a way to survive in the current economic climate.

Thus, it is possible that the company will be able to resume operations by the end of this year. A Weibo user has informed us that some old Huawei chipset solutions will be revived this year, based on a tip he received. Some of these companies include Ascend, Kunpeng, Tiangang, and Balong.

Since the US sanctions have prohibited Huawei from manufacturing these chips, the company has halted production. Rumors suggest that the company has found a way to resume production.

Chinese chip manufacturers have collaborated with Huawei to find a way to manufacture low-chipset nodes. In the future, companies like Huawei will be able to produce chipsets for most of their products as a result of this achievement.

The Chinese telecommunication equipment manufacturer can produce some chips in its current state. As a result, chips for telecommunications equipment do not require advanced technology.

Several other chips are expected to be released in the second half of the year, according to the tipster. A number of HiSilicon chips had already been developed before the sanctions were imposed. The following product lines are included in this category:

  • (Kirin series) SoC chips

  • (Ascend series) AI chips

  • (Kunpeng series) Server chips

  • Chips supporting 5G (Balong and Tiangang series)

  • Chips used for routing

  • Chips for NB-IoT

  • Video codecs and image signal processors from IPC

The following are just a few examples of the company’s plans. There were additional products in the pipeline. Unfortunately, the ban halted all activities.
