Thailand’s Tawanchai Beats Superbon to Retain World Muay Thai Title

Tawanchai P.K. Saenchai of Thailand has retained his World Featherweight Muay Thai title after defeating Superbon Singha Mawynn on Friday at the Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.

ONE Championship has had a spectacular year with Muay Thai, but the world’s largest martial arts organization reserved the best about for last, pitting Tawanchai against Superbon.

Prajanchai PK Saenchai defeated Joseph Lasiri in the co-main event. The Thai superstar took the fight to his Italian opponent, unifying the ONE Strawweight Muay Thai World Championship with an elbow in less than 90 seconds.

“The Queen” Phetjeeja began the World Title action by punching her way to the ONE Interim Atomweight Kickboxing World Championship following five rounds of action with decorated fighter Anissa Meksen, earning a unanimous decision.

Superbon Singha Mawynn, also known as Superbon Banchamek, is a Bangkok-based Thai Muay Thai kickboxer. He is currently under contract with ONE Championship. Superbon won the 2016 Kunlun Fight World Max Tournament and the 2018 Enfusion Live 76 8-Man Tournament.
