Just Eat Takeaway To Restructure In Britain Cutting 170 Jobs Worldwide

(CTN NEWS) – Just Eat Takeaway NV (TKWY.AS), an online meal ordering and delivery business, announced restructuring its customer service activities that could result in the loss of 170 jobs globally.

The business announced in a statement that employees at a customer support centre in Borehamwood, England, would be allowed to relocate to Sunderland, around 300 miles (480 km) to the north.

Dutch newspaper Het Financieele Dagblad first reported the news, citing an internal memo.

“We appreciate all of our Borehamwood employees and are dedicated to Just Eat, providing complete support for all affected employees.”

The reorganization is essential and will help the company “reach profitability,” the memo said, according to the FD Newspaper.
