CHIANG MAI – In a shocking turn of events, police in northern Thailand have arrested a highly famous fortune teller and magic practitioner, for allegedly tricking and sexually assaulting her 21-year-old stepdaughter. The man, known for his supposed supernatural powers, now faces serious legal trouble. According to MGR Online, his own wife reported him to the local authorities.
This case has grabbed the attention of the public because the suspect is a well-known figure, not just in Thailand, but across several Asian countries.
The arrest took place at a large magic shrine in the Hang Dong district of Chiang Mai. A team of local police officers arrived with a legal arrest warrant issued by the Chiang Mai Provincial Court. The operation was led by senior officers, including Police Colonel Chakriyut Chotwachirapong.
When police searched the property, they found more than just magic items and religious statues. Officers seized several dangerous and illegal objects from the suspect’s home, including:
- A handgun
- Live ammunition
- An air rifle
- Eight methamphetamine pills (illegal narcotics)
The suspect, identified as Mr. Kamolthep, is widely known by his loyal followers as “Ajarn Suea” or “Master Tiger.” He was immediately taken into police custody to face these severe charges.
A Mother’s Heartbreaking Discovery
The most tragic part of this story comes from the victim’s mother. She spoke directly to the press and police about her painful discovery.
The mother explained that she had known Master Tiger for eight years. She first met him as a follower of his magic teachings. They eventually fell in love, got married five years ago, and she became his main assistant. She helped him run his magic ceremonies and create special amulets for his clients.
However, her world fell apart when she noticed her 21-year-old daughter acting deeply depressed and withdrawn. After gently asking her daughter what was wrong, the horrifying truth finally came out.
The mother revealed that starting in early 2024, her husband tricked her daughter. He asked the young woman to drive him to run some errands. Instead of going shopping, he directed her to a local hotel. He claimed they needed to go into the room to perform a special magic ritual. Once inside, he assaulted her. The mother stated this terrifying pattern happened four or five times.
The young woman was too terrified to speak up earlier because the suspect always carried a gun and threatened her life. When the mother learned the truth, she said her love for her husband had completely died. She immediately went to the police to seek justice for her child.
The Occult Master’s Bizarre Defense
Despite the serious claims and the items found at his home, Master Tiger strongly denies all the charges. His defense to the police included several very strange claims.
First, he told the police that he never actually touches his female clients. He claimed that if a woman needs a magic ritual that involves placing gold leaf on her skin, he always makes someone else do the touching.
Second, he stated that he rarely accepts Thai clients anyway. He said Thai people complain too much and are too fuzzy. Instead, he focuses entirely on rich foreign clients from places like China, Taiwan, and Singapore.
Finally, his excuse for owning the weapons was highly unusual. He claimed he enjoys shooting sports. However, he also told police that he carries the guns into dark graveyards at night. He said he writes magic words on his bullets so he can shoot at ghosts and evil spirits while looking for items to use in his spells.
Right now, Master Tiger remains in police custody. The authorities are preparing to move forward with the legal process. Because they found guns and illegal drugs, he will face multiple heavy charges on top of the assault accusations.
