China Tests a Deadly Virus. Experts Say Madness Must Stop.

(CTN News) – A deadly virus being developed by the Chinese government kills 100 percent of mice. Known as GX_P2V in a study published on bioRxiv, the virus targeted the brains of mice whose genetic makeup was designed to mimic that of humans.

Researchers found that the mice lost significant weight within five days of infection, became lethargic, and their eyes became white. In their study, the researchers noted that the patients died just eight days after contracting the infection.

As a result of the rapid death rate, the scientists expressed surprise.

According to the researchers, this study highlights the spillover risk of GX_P2V into humans and offers a unique insight into the pathogenic mechanism of SARS-CoV-2-related viruses.

It was discovered that the virus had infected the lungs, bones, eyes, tracheas, and brains of the mice after an analysis of their bodies. According to the researchers, the brain infection was so severe that it caused the animals to die.

A study conducted by the Beijing University of Chemical Technology concluded that the virus was similar to Sars-CoV-2 and was discovered in 2017 in pangolins prior to the Covid outbreak.

This is the first study of its kind to report a 100 percent mortality rate in mice infected with a coronavirus-related virus, exceeding the previous study’s results.

In addition, the results of this study do not indicate how it may affect humans.

As soon as the study was published online, experts raised concerns. An epidemiology expert at University College London’s Genetics Institute called the study “terrible” and “totally pointless scientifically”.

It is imperative that this madness be stopped before it is too late, according to retired professor of medicine Gennadi Glinsky.
