Alibaba's DingTalk Launches 3D Messaging App For Vision Pro

(CTN News) – It has been announced that Alibaba Group Holding Limited’s (NYSE:BABA) DingTalk has launched a dedicated app for Apple Inc’s (NASDAQ:AAPL) Vision Pro headset that enables users to engage in 3D messaging and video conferencing.

Among the first wave of applications designed to work with Apple’s high-end headset, priced at $3,499 in the United States, is this app.

With DingTalk’s Vision Pro app, which features a variety of advanced features, users are able to manage multiple windows as well as draw directly on the screen using hand gestures.

It is also compatible with Apple’s Persona feature, which allows users to create realistic digital avatars from their facial scans, thus enhancing video calls with real-time expressions.

Its launch places DingTalk alongside other Chinese applications that embrace Apple’s latest technology, despite its current availability being restricted to the U.S. and plans to expand to other markets, including China.

By the end of 2023, DingTalk, Alibaba’s workplace communication platform, will have achieved a landmark of 700 million users. DingTalk, under the leadership of President Ye Jun, unveiled an AI agent powered by Alibaba Cloud’s Tongyi Qianwen.

Also, popular mobile games and services like Honkai: Star Rail by miHoYo and Trip.com have announced their apps for the Vision Pro, further expanding its ecosystem with diverse content from gaming to immersive travel.

The DingTalk platform has exceeded 700 million users, including 120,000 businesses, and continues to innovate, adding an AI agent in order to streamline workflows.

As a result of this move, Chinese tech giants are increasingly integrating artificial intelligence into their services and products.

Apple’s Vision Pro is expected to provide Apple with a substantial boost in earnings per share as a result of its immersive technology and apps.

AR features in Vision Pro can also be a valuable tool for e-commerce, allowing customers to try on new clothing items and visualize new furniture products in their homes.
