YouTube’s ‘Playables’ Exclusively For Premium Subscribers
(CTN News) – YouTube, a subsidiary of Google, is introducing Playables, a functionality aimed at enticing premium subscribers by allowing them to engage in gaming activities directly on the platform.
In the Playables section of the app or website, users can enjoy a variety of arcade games without the need for any downloads.
The initial assortment of games encompasses well-known titles such as Angry Birds Showdown, Brain Out, and Daily Solitaire, with future intentions to broaden the game library.
Currently, Playables, a new feature introduced by YouTube, is undergoing beta testing exclusively for a limited number of Premium subscribers. YouTube intends to gradually expand the availability of this feature to a larger audience in the upcoming months.
However, it is important to note that this feature will only be accessible until March 28, 2024. Following this date, YouTube will carefully evaluate the performance and reception of Playables to determine the next course of action.
This assessment will play a crucial role in deciding whether to continue, modify, or discontinue the feature in the future.
YouTube is using innovative generative AI features
Like Dream Track in YouTube Shorts, to push technology boundaries.
Dream Track allows users to create music tracks using text prompts or hummed melodies. Powered by Lyria, a music generation model developed by Google DeepMind, Dream Track analyzes user input and generates unique music tracks.
This empowers users without music training or expensive tools to effortlessly create their own compositions. YouTube aims to improve Dream Track to make music creation more accessible.
This technology could revolutionize music production for artists, content creators, and advertisers, and the exploration of generative AI opens up endless possibilities for innovation and creativity.
