(CTN News) – Emirates, a Middle Eastern airline, has introduced its first robot check-in assistance. The system, Sara, checks passengers in and directs them to the luggage drop area after matching clients’ faces with scanned passports.

In the centre of Dubai’s business sector, Travel Store Emirates plans to debut the cutting-edge robot as part of a new City Check-in service.

Customers may quickly schedule travel on the website, check-in for flights, leave their luggage, and buy travel necessities to cut down on time spent at the airport.

At ICD Brookfield Place in Dubai International Financial Centre, the facility officially opens today.

Emirates Robot To Check In Passengers

Sara is referred to the Emirates as a “innovative portable robotic check-in system.” The robot made its debut today and is now on a quest to make travel for people easier.

Sara controls the check-in procedure similar to a conventional kiosk. Passengers are given the option to purchase additional things, such as bags, after having their passports scanned and their contact and travel details confirmed.

The robot directs clients to the baggage drop area after printing the boarding permits and bag tags once the passengers have been checked in.

Additionally, the new travel centre has Emirates employees and committed travel advisers who can help customers booking tickets for upcoming trips.

Manage existing reservations, buy upgrades, choosing preferred seats, and making special arrangements for additional baggage if needed.

Chief Operating Officer of Emirates, Adel al Redha, expressed pleasure about giving customers this additional check-in choice:

City check-in terminal

One element of this brand-new area is the robot. Emirates’ newest City Check-in and Travel Store is conveniently situated near busy professionals in Dubai’s financial district and lets clients check bags up to four hours before to departure.

Customers will be able to check in for flights, book tickets and drop off luggage in the modern area from 08:00 to 22:00 every day.

After checking in, travellers get free access to a few lifestyle facilities at ICD Brookfield Place so they can explore the neighbourhood or unwind before your flight.

Numerous dining establishments, fitness centres, designer shops, and art galleries can be found near the Dubai International Financial Centre.

Once travellers are prepared to go, they have a variety of ways to get to Dubai International Airport.

In order for passengers to connect directly to the airport via private transfer, taxi, or Emirates chauffeur service, the check-in centre provides self-parking and paid valet parking.

The Financial Centre Metro Station, which has a direct line into the Airport Terminal 3 Metro Station, is conveniently positioned just a 10-minute stroll away and offers public transport.

Emirates announced a new daily service to Montreal commencing on July 5th, and ICD Brookfield CEO Rob Devereux highlighted his enthusiasm to be collaborating with Emirates on the project.

Passengers travelling to Quebec will soon be able to use the facility.
