Dallas Stars President Apologizes After Fans Throw Trash On Ice

(CTN News) – After the Dallas Stars’ blowout loss to the Golden Knights on Tuesday night, the team’s president and CEO Brad Alberts issued a statement apologizing for fans throwing trash onto the ice with frustration.

As a result of a game misconduct for Dallas Stars center Max Domi, the game between Dallas and Vegas ended 21 seconds early.

Fans threw water bottles, food, and other items on the ice following the misconduct.

The final 21 seconds of the third period were played after the intermission before the clock was reset to 20 minutes at the beginning of the fourth period.

As a representative of the Dallas Stars organization, I would like to apologize on behalf of the Dallas Stars organization to the Vegas Golden Knights and the National Hockey League for the actions of some of our spectators during last night’s game,” Alberts said in an email to The Dallas Morning News.

The players and fans of the game were being put in danger by their actions, and there was no justification for their actions, and they were putting their safety at risk as a result.”

There is no doubt that our great city, our organization, and our loyal fan base are represented poorly by the actions of these individuals, who are not representative of our great city, our organization, and our loyal fan base,” added Cox.

Overall, it was a frustrating night for the Dallas Stars.

It was only 71 seconds into the game when the Golden Knights scored. Less than a minute later, Dallas Stars captain Jamie Benn received a game misconduct for cross-checking a Golden Knights player on the ice.

At present, the league is reviewing the incident in order to determine whether a suspension should be imposed as a result of it.

After allowing 3 goals in the first period, starting goalie Jake Oettinger was removed from the game with 12:50 left in the first period.

There were many Dallas Stars fans left the game midway through the third period, with many seats left empty for the final frame of the game.

There was a final score of 4-0 in favor of Vegas in the game.

As a result of the Dallas Stars’ 3-0 loss to the Golden Knights in the final round of seven series, the Stars are now 3-0 down.
