Chiangrai United fell short against Ratchaburi FC in a tightly contested match, losing 1-0. The game’s only goal came late, with Ratchaburi capitalizing on a defensive error.

Chiangrai United struggled to create clear opportunities, while Ratchaburi’s defence stayed solid throughout. The loss leaves Chiangrai re-evaluating their tactics, as fans hope for a stronger showing in upcoming matches.

The first half began with both teams taking turns controlling the attacking play. It wasn’t until the 22nd minute that the first real scoring opportunity arose.

Ratchaburi FC had the chance, as Jesse Curran broke free down the right wing and sent a cross into the penalty area. Thanasak Srisai’s initial clearance fell short, leaving Kim Ji-min with an opening. However, his shot narrowly missed the target.

After a VAR review, it was confirmed that the ball hadn’t fully crossed the line, and the first half concluded with Singha Chiang Rai United and Ratchaburi FC locked at 0-0.

The second half saw the visiting Ratchaburi team pressing for a breakthrough. In the 58th minute, Pedro Tana sprinted down the right flank and sent a cross to the far post. Substitute Tatsuya Tanaka set the ball up perfectly for Martin Ngiva, who smashed it under the crossbar to give Ratchaburi a 1-0 lead.

By the 69th minute, Singha Chiang Rai pushed forward in search of an equalizer. Substitute Emawive carried the ball through the Ratchaburi defence, cutting inside to unleash a powerful left-footed shot, but it sailed just over the bar.

Ratchaburi then shifted to a defensive setup, sitting deep and allowing Chiang Rai to dominate possession. Despite constant pressure, the home side couldn’t find a way past Ratchaburi’s solid defence. The match ended with Singha Chiang Rai United falling to a 1-0 defeat against Ratchaburi FC.
