Thousands Attend the 2024 World Formula Hmong Racing in Chiang Mai

Thousand’s of people gathered at Doi Mae Chaem in northern Thailand’s Chiang Mai province to watch the annual World Formula Hmong Racing event. Hmong hill tribe folks raced down the hills in their “Formula Hmong” wooden carts, as part of the indigenous people’s way of life in northern Thailand.

During the World Formula Hmong Racing event at Doi Mae Chaem in Nong Hoi village, Chiang Mai, competitors in both professional and amateur categories drove their wooden carts around a 400-meter circuit, vying for cash awards of nearly 10,000 Baht.
