Dengue Control Activities Recorded By IRS Reporting System: 600m
(CTN News) – More than 600 million dengue surveillance and control activities have been recorded by the Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB)’s ‘Larvaciding and Fogging/IRS Reporting System’, which has been integrated with the current Dengue Surveillance and Control System.
In keeping with the details shared by the PITB here on Wednesday, the PITB developed the dengue outbreak control system in 2012 with the aim of preventing and controlling outbreaks in the country.
In addition to providing assistance in the monitoring and remediation of larvae, using technology, the program has provided assistance to the concerned departments in their efforts to control the disease.
As a result of the application, 70 departments have been able to prevent outbreaks of in their areas.
Moreover, the daily situation reports have been incorporated into the system in the form of reports and dashboards to make it easier for users and departments to access important indicators of the daily situation reports.
In addition to monitoring the activities of those involved in the anti-Dengue campaign and providing them with data to analyze, the app also plays a very important role in the decision making process due to the analysis of the data obtained from it.
In addition, the dengue tracking system was utilized by more than 2000 public and private healthcare facilities in order to ensure that the data associated with patients could be entered into the system in a real-time manner. As of now, 66,704 dengue patients have been registered by this hospital.
Furthermore, in addition to the dashboard, the anti-dengue app as well as the GP apps have also been upgraded.
In addition to the integration with labs for direct reporting in tracking system, automation of vector surveillance processes and reporting, enhancement of daily situation reports, and heat maps, what is also in progress is the integration with labs for direct reporting.
