In the Mood for Some Lobster? Try These Simple Recipes!

Ingredients:

  • Dry white wine
  • Shallots
  • Garlic
  • Butter
  • Flour Directions:

In a large pot, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the garlic and shallots and cook until softened. Stir in the flour and cook for one minute. Add the fish stock and wine and bring to a boil. Add the lobster and cook until cooked through about five minutes. Remove the lobster from the pot and set it aside. Add the cream to the pot and cook until the bisque is thickened. Return the lobster to the pot and serve.

Garlic Butter Lobster

This dish is simple yet elegant. It is perfect for a special occasion or date night! Ingredients:

  • Lobster
  • Garlic butter
  • Lemons Directions:

In a large pot of boiling water, cook the lobster for five minutes. Remove the lobster from the pot and set it aside to cool. In a small saucepan, melt the garlic butter over low heat. Once melted, remove from the heat and set aside. Cut the lobster in half lengthwise. Drizzle with garlic butter and lemon juice. Serve immediately.

Lobster Thermidor

Lobster thermidor is another classic French dish that is made with cooked lobster, a creamy

sauce and cheese. It is typically served as a main course. Ingredients:

  • Lobster
  • Butter
  • Flour
  • Milk
  • Dry mustard
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Gruyere cheese Directions:

In a large pot of boiling water, cook the lobster for five minutes. Remove the lobster from the pot and set it aside to cool. In a small saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in the flour and cook for one minute. Add the milk and mustard and whisk until smooth. Season with salt and pepper. Cook the sauce until thickened, about five minutes. Remove from the heat and set aside.

Cut the lobster in half lengthwise. In a baking dish, layer the lobster halves with the sauce and cheese. Bake in a preheated oven for 15 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Serve immediately.
