21 Savage Announces Third Solo Album ‘American Dream’
(CTN News) – Having just posted a trailer for his debut movie, 21 Savage has announced that his third solo album “American Dream” will be released on January 12th, just a day after posting the trailer.
“American Dream” is the rapper’s first solo album since he released “I Am > I Was” last year. Over the years, he has collaborated on two albums with Metro Boomin, including “21 Savage Mode II” with Metro Boomin in 2020 and “Her Loss” with Drake in 2022.
His song “Rich Flex” recently received several nominations for this year’s Grammy Awards, including best rap song and best melodic rap performance for his song “Spin Bout U.” He also received several nominations for the 2008 Grammy Awards.
There are few details about 21 Savage forthcoming album, but he has teed up the release of a trailer for his upcoming film, which is a memoir that tells the story of 21 Savage incarceration by the United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) starting from 2019.
As seen in the trailer for the movie, Donald Glover, Stephen Glover, Jamal Olori, and Fam Udeorji directed the movie, which features “Atlanta” star and actor Caleb McLaughlin portraying Savage throughout his life.
There is also an appearance by Natasha Lyonne, Victoria Pedretti, Young Mazino, Chad Lindberg, Gail Bean and Druski in the trailer, along with Glover and McLaughlin. Although the trailer hinted that it would release on “Independence Day,” it isn’t yet clear whether the movie will actually be released in theaters on this day.
After a long gap between his solo releases, 21 Savage is steadily touring in the wake of the release of “Her Loss.” Savage is known for his long gap between solo releases.
The U.K.-born artist recently toured with Drake as part of their joint It’s All a Blur Tour, and after fighting for a long time to become a permanent resident of the U.S., he embarked on his first international tour in November, which included a performance in his hometown of London at the 02 Arena.
