Accenture Plans To Expand GenAI In Asia Pacific And Latin America

(CTN News) – The Accenture group has announced that it will open GenAI studios in nine countries across Asia Pacific and Latin America to meet the growing demand for the technology from its clients.

Studio locations are planned for Australia, Argentina, Brazil, Greater China, India, Japan, Mexico, the Philippines, and Singapore. They will connect clients with Accenture’s data and AI experts, as well as ecosystem partners, venture capital funds, and other strategic investments.

Accenture intends to leverage its responsible AI framework as a foundation for rapid experimentation, co-creation, and the expansion of generative AI solutions in these countries.

As of January 2024, all studios will be operational, with the exception of Argentina and Mexico, which will join the network later in the year. In addition to catering to a wide variety of industry and functional needs, the studios will also specialize in specific industries such as banking, insurance, telecommunications, public sector, manufacturing, renewable energy, chemicals and mining.

The new initiative is part of Accenture’s previously announced $3 billion investment in artificial intelligence and data analytics. Additionally, the company recently announced the launch of specialized services that are designed to assist clients in building their own large language models customized to meet their business needs.

The CEO of Accenture’s growth markets, Leo Framil, commented: “Clients today are ready to move beyond proof-of-concepts to tackle more complex business challenges across their value chains. Furthermore, generative AI presents new, unique risks that need to be considered and mitigated.

Through our generative AI Studios, we will be able to provide enterprises with the best ideas and capabilities for developing tailored solutions and helping them reinvent their businesses responsibly, drawing upon our experience from client conversations, existing projects, our rich talent and industry partnerships.

Additionally, Vivek Luthra, Accenture’s data and artificial intelligence lead, stated: “To fully leverage generative AI, companies need to go deeper, and establish a data strategy anchored in a digital core that includes a modern cloud and ERP infrastructure, as well as mature AI and data capabilities.

Our generative AI Studios provide our clients with a comprehensive range of capabilities in order to build and scale artificial intelligence in order to increase productivity and drive growth for their businesses in addition to strengthening our existing investments in data and artificial intelligence.
