The new capability is currently being made available to some beta testers, said the app-tracking website, and will eventually be made available to more people.
Users will be able to transition between conversations with the help of the recently introduced feature without losing track of their ongoing chats.
By switching the option within WhatsApp Settings > Chats, users can enable or disable this feature. The user interface will be more in their hands.
Side-by-Side Feature Bothersome For Users
Some people prefer to use a full screen and do not wish to use this option. Particularly on smartphones with smaller screens, the side-by-side view divides the screen, creating a limited area for conversations.
WaBetaInfo said that some people merely prefer the conventional single-window view and may find the side-by-side view annoying or bothersome.
The most recent WhatsApp beta update must be installed in order to use this feature.
