CHIANG RAI – Football is more than just a game. For many kids, it is a big dream. To help these dreams come true, Hisense is hosting a major youth football tournament in Thailand. The global technology brand is teaming up with the Sports Authority of Thailand (SAT). Together, they proudly announce the third annual “HISENSE FOOTBALL YOUTH CUP SPONSORSHIP 2026.”
This exciting 7-a-side tournament is built for boys under the age of 12. It will happen in the beautiful northern province of Chiang Rai. The matches will take place at the famous Singha Chiang Rai Stadium. Fans and families can watch the games live on May 30, May 31, and June 1, 2026. You can read the details in the original news announcement.
Normally, big sports events happen in large cities like Bangkok. However, this year is completely different. This is the first time the Hisense Youth Cup is moving to a regional province. The goal is simple and clear. The organizers want to give children outside the capital city a fair chance to shine.
Taweesak Kongchana is the Vice Chairman of Hisense International (Thailand). He explained that his company cares deeply about social development. Giving kids a real chance is the best way to help them grow.
Hisense believes that talent exists everywhere. Kids in rural towns deserve the exact same high-standard events as kids in big cities. This tournament is a great stepping stone. It helps young players build skills, gain confidence, and maybe even become professional football players one day.

A special press conference took place in Bangkok to announce the event. Many important people from the sports world attended. They gathered at the Sports Authority of Thailand headquarters to celebrate the launch.

The competition will be fierce but fun. A total of 32 school teams will join the tournament. All players must be 12 years old or younger. The games will use a fast-paced 7-a-side format. This style of play is exciting and allows kids to touch the ball more often.
The three-day event is split into two parts. First, there is a group stage. The 32 teams are divided into 8 groups. Each group has 4 teams. They will play against each other to score points. After that, the best 16 teams will move on to the knockout stage. In this stage, teams must win to stay in the game. The winning teams will keep playing until they reach the final match.
