Woman Allegedly Murders Husband for not taking her to Dubai to Celebrate Birthday

(CTN News) – In Pune, Maharashtra, a 38-year-old man tragically lost his life after his wife allegedly assaulted him in the face. She was reportedly furious that he had refused to take her to Dubai for her birthday celebration, according to the police.

According to their account, the event occurred in the Wanwadi area on Friday afternoon.

The victim, identified as Nikhil Khanna, was a property developer, as stated by the authorities. It was discovered during the investigation that the man’s wife Renuka, who is 36 years old, celebrated her birthday on September 18.

The woman had planned to celebrate in Dubai, but her husband refused, according to a police spokesman from the Wanwadi station.

On top of that, her husband’s wedding anniversary was on November 5, and she was hoping for a thoughtful present. According to him, the woman was “also upset” since her husband had refused her to celebrate a relative’s birthday in Delhi.

On Friday, the couple got into a heated dispute about these issues. According to the official, the husband was knocked unconscious after sustaining a nose injury in a violent outburst from his wife.

The man was taken to Sassoon General Hospital after being alerted by their neighbors, where he was pronounced dead, he added. A police squad had already arrived at the scene.

According to the police source, the cause of death will be determined after the autopsy, but they are now investigating whether the woman struck her husband with her fist or another instrument.

“We have taken the woman into custody and further investigation into the case is on,” stated the officer. She is facing charges of murder under Section 302 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
