(CTN News) – Direct flights between Don Mueang Airport (DMK) and Shanghai Pudong Airport (PVG) will soon be launched, according to Thai AirAsia (FD).
With five weekly departures on board state-of-the-art Airbus A320 aircraft, this aerial adventure is poised to revolutionize air travel and is scheduled to lift off on February 2, 2019.
This new initiative from DMK aims to provide options for jet-setters, while Thai AirAsia X (XJ) may be familiar with Shanghai. Every Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday at 9.25 p.m., Flight FD470 will depart on this route and touch down in Shanghai at 2.25 a.m.
According to Travel News Asia, on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays, Thai AirAsia will operate Flight FD471 on the return journey. The flight will depart Shanghai at 3.45am and touch down at Don Mueang at 7.20am.
He was joined in his excitement by CEO Santisuk Klongchaiya.
Our meticulous deliberation and preparation led to Don Mueang – Shanghai. Shanghai has become an absolute must-visit for many Thais because of its thriving business and tourism environment and its home to the biggest and most modern Disneyland in Asia.
Similarly, Thai AirAsia X is preparing to begin direct flights from Bangkok to Almaty, Kazakhstan, in a daring move that will change the face of travel.
Under the visionary leadership of Tassapon Bijleveld, the executive chairman of Asia Aviation, the holding company of Thai AirAsia, the airline is planning a massive expansion by adding three planes to its fleet by 2024, riding high on the unprecedented influx of tourists from Kazakhstan this year.
Not to be outdone, Thai AirAsia now offers a fly-thru service that links Phitsanulok and Don Mueang Airport to Phuket. Phitsanulok and other provinces in Thailand’s lower northern region are less popular with tourists from other countries, but we hope this will change when you visit Phuket.
