Mulherin And OpenAI CEO Sam Altman Got Married In Hawaii
(CTN News) – OpenAI CEO Sam Altman and Oliver Mulherin were married in a heartwarming ceremony at his 43 million dollar Hawaii estate.
It was only yesterday that social media users shared beautiful images of a small-scale wedding that took place on Hawaii Island, Kailua-Kona, on Thursday.
According to OpenAI Altman, NBC has received confirmation of the good news.
From the photographs, it is evident that the bride and groom were dressed entirely in white when they exchanged rings at the alter, and that all of their jewelry was white as well.
It is a Jewish tradition at Jewish weddings for the couple to stomp on a serviette-wrapped glass, meaning that they are stomping on a sign of their marriage.
At the end of last year, Altman made headlines when he was fired from OpenAI , the company that created ChatGPT, only to be reinstated following an uprising.
The OpenAI CEO’s profile has been much lower since last year, but he has made more appearances in front of the public, including coming before Congress to testify on his behalf.
Earlier this week, Business Insider verified the authenticity of the wedding pictures that were circulating online that appeared to be taken from Altman’s Instagram account, which has been verified by OpenAI Business Insider.
A former Meta employee, Mulherin is a software engineer by profession.
Born in Australia, he graduated from the University of Melbourne with a bachelor’s degree in computer science.
