Check Out 21 Savage’s ‘American Dream’: Stream It Now

(CTN News) – Almost six years after his last solo studio album, 21 Savage delivers American Dream (via Slaughter Gang and Epic Records).

The third set from Savage features a dreamy lineup of collaborators, including Brent Faiyaz, Summer Walker, Travis Scott, Young Thug, Lil Durk, and Mariah the Scientist.

On his Instagram account, the Atlanta, GA-based British-American rapper shared baby pictures of his guest artists before the album’s release.

American Dream, a collection of 15 tracks, was announced earlier this week, and is set to serve as the soundtrack to 21 Savage’s debut film, American Dream: The 21 Savage Story, for which he released a trailer on Monday (Jan. 8).

It is American Dream’s follow-up to his 2018 sophomore album I Am > I Was, which earned him his first Billboard 200 No. 1 album and a nomination for best rap album at the 2020 Grammy Awards. The single “A Lot,” which featured J. Cole, won the Grammy award for best rap song that year.

After this, 21 Savage with Metro Boomin released 21 Savage Mode II, which became the number one album on the Billboard 200 in 2020.

Another collaborative project, Her Loss, recorded with Drake, debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart in 2022, making it his third No. 1 single. As a result of his philanthropic efforts, 21 Savage Day was officially recognized by Georgia in December of that year.

His foundation, Leading by Example, was created in 2018 to provide financial literacy education to underserved youth nationwide by providing thousands of scholarships, bank account access, job placement, as well as other financial literacy education programs.

On Independence Day 2024, American Dream: The 21 Savage Story will be released in theaters under the direction of Donald Glover. As part of Savage’s live commitments this year, he will perform at the Reading and Leeds Festivals in the United Kingdom.
