The Meteorological Department is warning 54 provinces in Thailand to prepare for heavy rain, and to beware of flash floods and forest runoff.

People in these areas should be careful of the dangers of heavy to very heavy rain, which may cause flash floods and forest runoff, especially in areas on hillsides near waterways and lowlands in the north.

This is because the monsoon trough has moved down across the North and Northeast, along with the southwest monsoon blowing over the Andaman Sea, Thailand and the Gulf of Thailand, which is quite strong.

The Meteorological Department Weather forecast for Thailand from 6:00 AM today to 6:00 PM tomorrow

Northern region: Thunderstorms in 80 percent of the area and heavy to very heavy rain in some areas.
Mae Hong Son, Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, Lamphun, Lampang, Phayao, Nan, Phrae, Uttaradit, Sukhothai, Tak, Kamphaeng Phet, Phitsanulok, Phichit and Phetchabun provinces.

Minimum temperature 23-26 degrees Celsius, maximum temperature 28-34 degrees Celsius, Southwest wind, speed 5-15 km/hr.

Northeastern region: Thunderstorms, 60 percent of the area and heavy rain in some areas.
Loei, Nong Khai, Nong Bua Lamphu, Udon Thani, Sakon Nakhon, Chaiyaphum, Khon Kaen, Nakhon Ratchasima, Buriram, Surin, Si Sa Ket and Ubon Ratchathani provinces

Minimum temperature 22-25 degrees Celsius, maximum temperature 31-34 degrees Celsius, Southwest wind, speed 10-20 km/hr.

Central region: Thunderstorms, 70 percent of the area and heavy to very heavy rain in some areas.
Nakhon Sawan, Uthai Thani, Lop Buri, Saraburi, Kanchanaburi, Ratchaburi, Nakhon Pathom, Samut Songkhram and Samut Sakhon provinces.

Minimum temperature 23-25 ​​degrees Celsius, maximum temperature 33-35 degrees Celsius, Southwest wind 10-25 km/hr.

Eastern region: Thunderstorms in 70 percent of the area and heavy to very heavy rain in some areas.
Nakhon Nayok, Prachin Buri, Chachoengsao, Chon Buri, Rayong, Chanthaburi and Trat provinces

Minimum temperature 24-26 degrees Celsius, maximum temperature 28-34 degrees Celsius, Southwest wind 20-35 km/hr.
The sea has waves about 2 meters high, farther from the shore and in areas with thunderstorms, waves are higher than 2 meters.

Southern region (east coast): Thunderstorms in 60 percent of the area and heavy rain in some areas.
Phetchaburi, Prachuap Khiri Khan, Chumphon, Surat Thani and Nakhon Si Thammarat provinces

Minimum temperature 23-26 degrees Celsius, maximum temperature 32-36 degrees Celsius

From Surat Thani Province upwards, southwesterly winds 20-35 km/hr.
The sea has waves approximately 2 meters high, farther from shore and in areas with thunderstorms, waves are higher than 2 meters.
From Nakhon Si Thammarat Province downwards, southwesterly winds 15-35 km/hr.

The sea has waves 1-2 meters high, farther from shore and in areas with thunderstorms, waves are higher than 2 meters.

Southern region (west coast): 80 percent of the area will have thunderstorms and some areas will have heavy to very heavy rain in
Ranong, Phang Nga, Phuket, Krabi, Trang and Satun provinces.

Minimum temperature 23-24 degrees Celsius, maximum temperature 28-31 degrees Celsius.

From Phang Nga province upwards: Southwesterly winds 20-40 km/hr.
The sea has waves 2-3 meters high, in areas with thunderstorms, waves are higher than 3 meters.

From Phuket province downwards: Southwesterly winds 15-35 km/hr.
The sea has waves 1-2 meters high, in areas with thunderstorms, waves are higher than 2 meters.

Bangkok and its vicinity: 80 percent chance of thunderstorms and heavy rain in some areas. Minimum temperature 24-26 degrees Celsius, maximum temperature 33-35 degrees Celsius, southwesterly winds 10-25 km/hr.
