Eagles Snap Skid, Stay In NFC East Race With 33-25 Win Over Giants.

(CTN News) – Jalen Hurts broke the NFL record for QB rushing TDs in a season and threw a crucial TD pass in the Eagles’ win over the Giants, ending their losing streak and keeping their NFC East title hopes alive.

Despite recent losses, the Eagles can secure their second division championship by beating Arizona and the Giants. They have a strong home record against the Giants, undefeated at the Linc since 2014.

Adoree Jackson’s 76-yard interception return and Saquon Barkley’s successful 2-point conversion gave the Giants a boost, bringing the score to 20-18.

The fans, dressed as Santa Claus, played a crucial role in the victory, chanting for the team to run the ball. Coach Sirianni and offensive coordinator Johnson eventually listened to the crowd and the Giants scored a crucial touchdown.

Tyrod Taylor’s 69-yard score narrowed the gap to 30-25, but the game ended with an interception in the end zone. Despite his turnover struggles, Hurts performed well in this game.

In the first half, Hurts made a mistake by not stepping out of bounds, costing the team time. This led to a field goal and a 20-3 lead at halftime.

The Eagles had struggled to score more than 19 points in previous games, so their 20-point first half was their highest-scoring output of the season.

Hurts broke the NFL record for most rushing touchdowns by a quarterback in a single season with his 15th touchdown. He also threw a touchdown pass to Smith, tying the team’s season record for total touchdowns.

Despite a difficult month, the Eagles saw a positive change in their fortunes. Hurts recovered a bad snap and completed a pass for a crucial first down. They settled for a field goal to extend their lead to 10-3.

The Eagles experienced yet another turnover, which proved to be detrimental during their losing streak, as Boston Scott fumbled the kickoff at the start of the second half. Taking advantage of the favorable field position, Barkley managed to score a 7-yard run, reducing the deficit to 20-10.

Following a three-game winning streak that provided a rare glimmer of hope in the season, the Giants unfortunately suffered their second consecutive loss.
