(CTN News) – The police seized cannabis with a value of one crore rupees in a big operation that took place at the Kodikonda check post in the Chilamathur mandal of the Sri Sathyasai district. Additionally, four suspects were identified and taken into custody.

On the 16th of December, ANI reports from the Sri Satya Sai District in Andhra Pradesh, India: Four people were taken into custody and cannabis with a value of one crore rupees was recovered by the police in a big operation that took place at the Kodikonda check post in the Chilamathur mandal of the Sri Sathyasai district, according to the police.

The Chilamathur police department seized the truck at the Kodikonda checkpoint after receiving information that a significant amount of ganja was being transported in a container from Hyderabad to Bengaluru.

According to officials from the police department, the agency acted on the information.  At the Kodikonda check post, Chilamathur police could stop the vehicle and question its driver.

When the container was opened, it was discovered that 492 kilograms of marijuana had been discretely wrapped into 294 packets within a compartment that had been specifically constructed for that purpose. This revelation caught even the police off guard, according to the police.

Following a comprehensive investigation that was based on the information that was obtained, the supply of cannabis was seized, according to the statement made by the SP.

The four individuals who were associated with the smuggling network and who were working from the center in Delhi have been detained and remanded, according to the further information provided by SP Madhav Reddy.

In addition, he mentioned that the authorities are still carrying out investigations into the matter.
