Palestinians Cheer Chanting "Allahu Akbar"

Palestinian extremist in a West Bank refugee camp shot and killed two accused Israeli collaborators early Saturday. Palestinian mobs kicked the bloodied bodies of two men before dragging them through the streets and attempting to tie them to an electricity tower.

According to a Palestinian journalist in the camp who spoke on the condition of anonymity, Palestinian mob beat and trampled on the bodies after the two were shot and killed in the streets.

Hundreds gathered at the camp’s gate, gawking and shooting with their phones as men attempt to hang the disfigured corpses from an electrical tower.

Crowds chanted “traitors” and “Allahu Akbar” (“God is greatest”) at the guys in videos from the incident. The location of Palestinian Authority security troops during the incident is unknown.

Hamza Mubarak, 31, and Azam Juabra, 29, were named. They were suspected of passing intelligence to Israel that resulted in a recent counter-terror raid that killed six people as Israel clashed with local terror operatives.

Purported confession videos have appeared online, showing the two men, exhausted and with downcast eyes, discussing their recent meetings with Israeli intelligence agents, who they claim paid them thousands of dollars for information.

According to a Palestinian official who spoke on the condition of anonymity due to fear of retaliation, Palestinian security personnel were informed of the occurrence. The public prosecutor’s office said it would have more information regarding a police probe into the killings in the coming days.

The Al Aqsa Martyrs Brigade, an armed faction of the secular nationalist Fatah organization, issued a cryptic statement shortly after the two men were reported murdered.

“We did not wrong them, but they wronged themselves,” he stated.

In a statement Saturday, the family of one of the suspected informers sought to disassociate itself from their disgraced cousin, calling him a “malicious finger that we have cut off without regret.”

“We affirm our complete innocence,” the family said in a statement, “and we won’t allow anyone to blame us for his guilt.”

The deaths in the Tulkarem refugee camp on Saturday exposed the strains on Palestinian society as the Israel-Hamas conflict exacerbates what has already been a deadly year for the area.

Tensions in the West Bank have been rising since October 7, when 3,000 Hamas militants poured into Israel from Gaza, killing 1,200 people and kidnapping at least 240 others, making it Israel’s worst day in history.

In response, the country has sworn to eliminate Hamas from Gaza, where the group has ruled since 2007, and has initiated an operation that includes air and ground attacks on Hamas.

While the IDF works in Gaza, the West Bank has remained tense, with 1,570 wanted Palestinians detained since October 7, including over 950 affiliated with Hamas.

According to the Palestinian Authority’s health ministry, over 183 West Bank Palestinians have been killed by Israeli forces and, in some cases, settlers since October 7. Last week, the Yesh Din rights group reported 172 cases of Israeli violence and intimidation against Palestinians in at least 84 Palestinian towns and localities.

Simultaneously, there has been an increase in terror attacks or attempted terror attacks by Palestinians against Israelis throughout the West Bank and East Jerusalem.

On October 7, the militant group Hamas launched an unprecedented attack on Israel, infiltrating communities near the Gaza Strip with hundreds of militants.

Around 1,200 people were killed, and the Israeli military claims that over 200 troops and civilians, including women and children, were taken captive in Gaza. According to local media, the Israeli force has killed around 14,000 Palestinians (including Hamas terrorists) in Gaza as a result of air and artillery assaults.
