(CTN News) – Liverpool FC club will open its first international academy in Thailand, expanding its worldwide portfolio with a new facility in Bangkok. Liverpool’s famed young coaching programme makes its debut in the country.

The long-term arrangement demonstrates Liverpool’s dedication to developing young football potential in areas with strong fan bases. The LFC International Academy Thailand will offer a year-round development program for boys and girls ages five to sixteen, catering to all ability levels.

Young athletes will have the rare opportunity to practice with Liverpool FC coaches who are familiar with the concepts and methodologies of the club’s world-renowned Academy in Merseyside.

The academy attempts to improve players’ technical and tactical talents while instilling The Liverpool Way’s core characteristics of ambition, commitment, dignity, and solidarity.

Coach education is an important part of the programme. An LFC lead coach will be in charge of the coaching programme’s implementation and development in Thailand. Local coaches will benefit from an extensive education program, which includes the acclaimed LFC International Academy global accreditation.

Ian Rush, a Liverpool star and LFC International Academy ambassador, stated his excitement: “We’re thrilled to bring the first LFC International Academy to Thailand, a region with a strong passion for football and Liverpool FC.”

Our international coaching initiatives strive to provide a unique experience for young players. Coach education is just as important as player development, as it introduces local coaches to the principles and tactics employed at our Liverpool Academy. The Liverpool Way will provide opportunities for both players and coaches to improve their skills on and off the field.

Surasak Areesawangkit, CEO of Liverpool International Academy Thailand, expressed his excitement: “It is an honor and joy to bring LFC International Academy to Thailand.

LFC has a great appeal in Thailand, and the club’s principles are well ingrained here. These values will help us create something special for our young athletes.”

The LFC International Academy Thailand is scheduled to begin later this year in two locations: Assumption College Thonburi and Assumption University of Thailand.
