Carnival Cruise Ship Missing Person
Carnival Cruise Ship Missing Person jumped overboard, according to authorities. A Coast Guard update on Tuesday night said security footage shows the man jumping off the Carnival Glory.
A missing Louisiana man, Tyler Barnett, has been identified by the agency as the missing man.
It appears Barnett jumped from the ship’s Deck 4 around 1:40 a.m. local time on Monday, according to a Carnival spokesperson.
A spokesperson for the company said he climbed onto a lifeboat and jumped from it.

According to Barnett’s mother, Elisha Reid, she had previously been informed that no footage of the incident existed.
In a statement to PEOPLE, Carnival said their security team changed the profile of the guest as we searched onboard video on Tuesday, after being notified that he might wear a different shirt.
A family member of the guest traveling with him is receiving assistance from the Coast Guard, they explained.
Earlier this month, family members told CBS affiliate WWL-TV that Barnett’s passenger card was swiped in the ship’s casino at 12:15 a.m., and in his room at around 12:30 a.m. Carnival crew members began searching for Barnett at 7:30 a.m.
A Coast Guard watchstander from the New Orleans sector was alerted to the incident at 12:30 p.m. on Monday.
The search for the missing passenger has so far covered more than 200 miles of water, but adverse weather has hindered progress.
NBC News published a story on Tuesday about Barnett’s grandmother Dirlean Tate Mason, who said she wants answers.
