Narcotics Suppression Police, in collaboration with the Pha Muang Task Force, tracked down a drug smuggling operation from the Mae Sai border in Chiang Rai, arresting two suspects. One was riding a motorcycle as a scout, and the other was driving a pickup truck carrying 6 million methamphetamine pills in 30 sacks.

Pol Gen. Narit Thawornwong, commander of the Narcotics Suppression and Suppression Command, Northern Border Pha Muang Force, revealed the arrest was the result of tracking a drug smuggling gang along the border in Mae Sai District through the intelligence unit of the Narcotics Suppression Bureau Division 2, Narcotics Suppression Bureau Chiang Rai.

The drug seizure comes after Pol Gen. Narit Thawornwong, commander of the Narcotics Suppression and Suppression Command, Northern Border, and Maj. Gen. Niranchai Thipphakanchanakul, deputy commander, visited the area to monitor the drug trafficking situation and increase measures to solve the problem of drug trafficking routes in the two provinces, especially in Thoeng District, Chiang Rai Province and Phu Sang District, Phayao Province.

Pol Gen. Narit Thawornwong said Narcotics Suppression police are intensifying their efforts to prevent drug smuggling, even though it is currently the rainy season, which may hinder operations.
