Former Amazon Employee Returns After 4 Months In Senior Role

(CTN News) – An Amazon employee’s journey with the company has come full circle in a heartwarming twist of fate. Despite being laid off by Amazon in the month of January, a female employee has triumphantly returned to the company, reuniting with the old team which she had worked with for four months before being laid off.

I am happy to report that Paige Cipriani, who experienced the disappointment of being laid off by the tech giant in January, has returned to the company as a Product Marketing Manager four months after the layoff.

Cipriani wrote on her LinkedIn account that she was excited to announce that she had been rehired on Monday by Amazon as part of the Social Marketing team, the same team that she had worked on before being laid off in January, the same team that she had previously worked on.

It has been my pleasure to be rehired as a Product Marketing Manager for a newly opened position, which means I will be working on a different line of business from what I have been doing previously in order to focus on the aspects of my expertise that I am good at.

My return to such a great team is such an incredible feeling, and I am looking forward to the adventures that lie ahead on this new (yet familiar) journey that lies ahead of me.”

In January, Amazon after Cipriani was laid off from her job, she candidly expressed her feelings regarding her situation on social media.

According to her heartfelt update, she is among the 18,000 Amazon employees who have been affected by the layoffs as a result of the company’s restructuring.

Certainly, it’s a tough time for me, and I’m still trying my best to understand what’s going on.

There is a sense of sadness in my heart because my journey at the company had just begun, and I had the privilege of working alongside some of the brightest minds in the industry and had just begun my journey at the company.

“Despite everything, I remain immensely grateful for the time I spent there, the Amazon valuable connections I made, and the wealth of knowledge I gained during my time there,” she wrote in her letter.
