The Meteorological Department reported that Thailand will continue to experience thunderstorms and heavy rain in some areas of the “North, Northeast, and Central”, including Bangkok and its vicinity, the East, and the western coast of the South.

People in northern Thailand and mountainous areas are asked to be careful of the dangers of heavy rain and accumulated rain, which may cause flash floods and forest runoff.

Today (August 6) at 5:00 a.m., the Meteorological Department reported the general weather conditions and the 24-hour weather forecast. Thailand will continue to experience thunderstorms and heavy rain in some areas of the North, Northeast, Central, including Bangkok and its vicinity, the East, and the western coast of the South.

People in these areas are asked to be careful of the dangers of heavy rain and accumulated rain, which may cause flash floods and forest runoff, especially in areas on hillsides near waterways and lowlands. This is because the southwest monsoon continues to cover the Andaman Sea, Thailand, and the Gulf of Thailand, along with a low-pressure cell in the northern part of Vietnam.

Northern region: 70 percent chance of thunderstorms and heavy rain in some areas, in Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, Phayao, Nan, Phitsanulok and Phetchabun. Minimum temperature 23-25 ​​degrees Celsius, maximum temperature 29-35 degrees Celsius. Southwesterly wind 5-15 km/hr.

Northeastern region: 60 percent chance of thunderstorms and heavy rain in some areas, in Loei, Nong Khai, Bueng Kan, Nong Bua Lamphu, Udon Thani, Chaiyaphum and Nakhon Ratchasima.
