Chiang Rai United snatched a solid 2-0 victory over Khon Kaen United in their recent match. The team took control early on, dominating possession and pressing hard. Khon Kaen United struggled to find their rhythm, unable to break through Chiang Rai’s tight defense.

Chiang Rai United’s well-coordinated play and sharp execution made all the difference on the field.

In the first quarter, Khon Kaen United had a chance to take the lead after Brenner Alves’s long-range shot from outside the box. The ball went straight to the goal, but Aphirak Worawong, the goalkeeper of Chiang Rai United, saved it.

Khon is another chance for Khon Kaen United. Thawin Butsombat crossed from the left; the ball went to the second post. Chatchai Chiakklang charged up to shoot, but the ball exceeded the goal.

In the 40th minute, Chiang Rai midfielder Atikun Meetuam took a long-range shot from outside the box. The ball almost hit the base of the goalpost, but Khon Kaen United goalkeeper Jirawat Wangthapan was able to push it out in time.

The first half ended with a score of 0-0.

The second half resumed. In the 58th minute, Chiang Rai got a free kick on the left side. Thaksin Chaihan crossed to the far post.

The ball reached Santiphap Yaemsaeng, who took a chest kick and prepared to shoot at the far post. However, the shot was too slow and was blocked by visiting team goalkeeper Chirawat Wangthapan.

In the 70th minute, the ball was crossed on the right side by Half Machado Dias. The ball floated to the head of Chinnawat Prachuapmon, who headed it.

The ball hit the post and bounced to Thanawat Phimyotha, who followed up with a close-range shot. This helped Chiang Rai take a 1-0 lead.

In the 76th minute, Aruncha Phodong, a substitute for Chiang Rai, crossed the ball from the middle of the field into a space. At this point, visiting team defender Diego Luis Landis misjudged the ball.

The ball dropped to the ground and was hit by Shinawatra Prachuapmon, a reserve striker following from behind. Before the match ended with a shot that was not controlled, the ball flew past Jirawat Wangthapan and went in. Singh Chiang Rai led 2-0.

In the 82nd minute, Khon Kaen United was reduced to 10 men after the referee checked the VAR screen when Kittichai Yaidee stepped on Aruncha Phodong. The referee then came back to show Kittichai Yaidee a red card.
