CHIANG RAI – More than 2,500 cyclists, from Thailand and overseas, came together for CRC Chiang Rai Road Classic 2025 at Singha Park Chiang Rai. After running for over 11 years, the event continues to prove itself as one of Northern Thailand’s biggest road cycling gatherings.
It also highlights Singha Park Chiang Rai as a go-to sports destination that many riders hope to experience at least once.
This year’s ride also drew strong support from both organisers and local agencies. The opening was attended by Khun Chaipat Jaturongkul, Deputy Managing Director of Singha Park Chiang Rai Co., Ltd., alongside the Deputy Governor of Chiang Rai, the Tourism Authority of Thailand, and Mae Fah Luang Chiang Rai International Airport.
Their presence reflected a shared effort to keep Chiang Rai on the map for major sporting events. Chiang Rai Road Classic is a popular cycling tourism event with some of the region’s most scenic road routes.
Riders can join on any type of bike, which keeps the event welcoming for all levels.
The Chiang Rai Road Classic: Thailand’s Top Cycling Meet-Up
There are four distances, 25, 70, 100, and 125 km, and each route passes well-known Chiang Rai landmarks and natural views. Riders take in mountain scenery and key spots such as Wat Rong Khun (the White Temple), Wat Huay Pla Kang, Singha Park, and Doi Luang National Park.
As the organiser, Singha Park Chiang Rai continues to build the event as a driver for sports tourism in Chiang Rai. The goal is simple: bring more visitors through sport, support local spending, and help more people discover what makes Chiang Rai special.
It also shows that the province has the strength to host competitions with an international feel.
Beyond the ride itself, the event area was packed with cycling brand booths, plus food, drinks, and on-site activities. Garmin Thailand also ran prize giveaways, with total rewards worth over 100,000 baht, adding extra excitement for riders on the day. The Chiang Rai Road Classic (CRC) is one of Thailand’s best-loved cycling events, held each year in the scenic northern province of Chiang Rai. Run with Singha Park Chiang Rai and backed by big names such as Boon Rawd Brewery (Singha) and Bangkok Airways, this friendly, non-racing ride has grown into a feel-good reunion for cyclists since it began around 2015.
What started as a push to put Chiang Rai on the map as a cycling spot is now the biggest road cycling event in northern Thailand by turnout. The route shows off the area at its best, with rolling hills, green farmland, temples, forests, and resort views along the way. It keeps things welcoming, too, with all bike types allowed and a mix of riders from first-timers to seasoned cyclists.
