Kao Opens Entries for the 17th Kao International Environment Painting Contest for Children, Inviting Thai Children to Share Their Vision for a “Sustainable World”
Young artists aged 6–15 have the chance to showcase their creativity on the global stage and win awards from Japan
Kao Industrial (Thailand) Co., Ltd. (Kao), a leading Japanese manufacturer of consumer products and chemical products, is inviting Thai children aged 6–15 to unleash their imagination and creativity on environmental issues through the 17th Kao International Environment Painting Contest for Children under the theme “Let’s work together for our sustainable Earth!” The contest offers participants the chance to win exclusive prizes from Japan.
The annual contest reflects Kao’s commitment to realizing a Kirei World — a world where all life lives in harmony. By providing a global platform for creative expression, the contest invites children to share their ideas and aspirations for protecting the environment with their families and communities to build a more sustainable future.
Entries from Thai youth will compete on the international children’s art stage, and every participant will receive a commemorative certificate in recognition of their contribution.
Over the past 16 years, the contest has received more than 190,000 artworks from nearly 100 countries and regions around the world. This demonstrates the power of the younger generation, who wish to see positive change and are ready to take part in creating a better future for society and the environment.
What makes this contest unique is that the creativity and inspiration expressed by children through their artworks do not end on paper. Kao further extends these ideas into various environmental activities, including wildlife protection, greening and forest conservation, and marine litter and waste leakage prevention measures.
For every artwork submitted, Kao will donate 50 yen, and participants will be able to choose the environmental activity they wish to support. This reflects Kao’s ongoing commitment to promoting sustainable environmental conservation together with the next generation.
