(CTN News) – Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin is deeply committed to enhancing Thailand’s digital content business through the Bangkok International Digital Content Festival 2024 (BIDC 2024).

The event, which runs from today until August 8 at True 5G Pro Hub Siam Discovery, seeks to boost Thailand’s position in the global digital content industry by promoting trade and investment ties. The event is planned to host over 450 business matching sessions, potentially generating over 800 million Baht in income.

Thailand’s Ambition to Become Southeast Asia’s Digital Content Hub

Chai Wacharonke, a government spokesperson, emphasised that the Prime Minister sees the digital content sector as a crucial economic engine. BIDC 2024, now in its eleventh year, is a collaboration between the Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP), the Ministry of Commerce, and other public and private sector partners.

The festival intends to help Thai digital content enterprises increase their international market reach in fields such as animation, games, character design, and e-learning.

The event includes business matchmaking, networking opportunities, and award ceremonies such as the BIDC and RISING STAR AWARDS. It also provides an opportunity to interact with representatives from top Thai and worldwide digital entertainment businesses such as Warner Bros, Discovery, and Imagica Lab.

The program highlights Thailand’s goal to become Southeast Asia’s digital content hub, demonstrating its worldwide potential.
