(CTN News) – According to a Wall Street Journal report, there are concerns about Elon Musk’s alleged use of drugs, and that is causing unease among the executives and board members that oversee the companies he leads, as well as the public.
Despite Elon Musk statement last August that he has a prescription for ketamine for the purpose of treating depression, Anonymous sources familiar with Musk and his enterprises suggest that Musk is still using the drug on a regular basis.
According to the report, Elon Musk has a history of consuming various drugs, including LSD, cocaine, ecstasy, and psychedelic mushrooms, mostly at private gatherings, throughout his life.
In response to Elon Musk lawyer’s allegations, he emphasized that the billionaire undergoes regular and random drug tests at SpaceX and he consistently passes the tests without issue.
Because Musk’s role as SpaceX’s CEO requires him to be responsible for his company’s security clearance, his public use of marijuana alongside podcaster Joe Rogan in 2018 triggered a review of his federal security clearance by the Pentagon.
According to Musk’s response on X (formerly Twitter), he stated, “Once I had smoked that one puff with Rogan, I agreed to do 3 years of random drug testing at NASA’s request, and I was never found with even trace amounts of any drugs or alcohol.”
Additionally, the report suggested that Linda Johnson Rice, who has served as a Tesla director since 2017, decided not to seek reelection due to frustration with Elon Musk behavior and allegations of drug use during his tenure.
Tesla, SpaceX, X (formerly Twitter), The Boring Company, Neuralink, and xAI, a startup that specializes in artificial intelligence, are just some of the companies Elon Musk oversees.
As a result of Musk’s alleged drug use, his leadership across these ventures will now be subject to an additional layer of scrutiny due to his purported drug use.
