Apple iPhone 17 Price and Release Date

BANGKOK – Apple has officially introduced the iPhone 17 series, sparking excitement among tech fans in Thailand. The launch, held during the “Awe Dropping” event at Apple Park in California on September 9, unveiled four models: iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Air, iPhone 17 Pro, and iPhone 17 Pro Max.

Each model features design updates, improved performance, and new camera technology. With pre-orders about to open and the release date soon approaching, shoppers in Thailand are keen to discover the latest features, colour selections, and pricing set for their local market.

Apple revealed the iPhone 17 series on September 9, 2025, sticking to its usual launch rhythm. Reports from sources like Mark Gurman at Bloomberg confirm that pre-orders for all four iPhone 17 models will begin on Friday, September 12, 2025, at 1:00 PM local time.

The phones will go on sale at Apple Stores and authorized shops across Thailand from Friday, September 19, 2025. This release window puts Thailand alongside major first-wave markets such as the US and UK. Customers can choose their preferred model, colour, and storage on Apple’s website to make pre-ordering easier.

Thai consumers will be able to purchase the new iPhones through major mobile networks, including AIS, TrueMove H, and dtac, as well as through retail stores like iStudio and Banana IT or online platforms such as Lazada and Shopee. Apple has also introduced a trade-in campaign, giving credits of up to ฿23,000 (roughly $700) for those trading in an iPhone 13 or newer, no matter the device’s condition. This should help more people afford an upgrade.

iPhone 17 Price in Thailand

Apple’s pricing in Thailand matches current economic conditions but aims to hold steady compared to the iPhone 16 series. Here are the starting prices for each model, based on insights from both local and international sources:

  • iPhone 17 (256GB): Starts at ฿32,000 (around $950). With double the storage compared to the previous entry model, it offers greater value at a similar price to the iPhone 16.
  • iPhone 17 Air (256GB): Priced from about ฿32,900 (around $975). This new mid-range model takes over from the iPhone 16 Plus and brings a thin profile and premium features at a slightly higher cost.
  • iPhone 17 Pro (256GB): Starts at ฿41,900 (about $1,240). The Pro sees a small price jump, but packs advanced features and more storage out of the box.
  • iPhone 17 Pro Max (256GB): Available from ฿48,900 (about $1,450). Despite major upgrades to the battery and camera, Apple keeps the price in line with last year’s Pro Max.

Prices may shift if there are changes in currency rates or tariffs, as sometimes reported by media like The Wall Street Journal. Most fans welcome Apple’s stable pricing, especially for the base and Pro Max. Financing choices, including EMI options on Apple’s site and through partners like Bajaj Finserv, are expected to help customers spread the cost over time.

The iPhone 17 Colors

Apple offers a new selection of colours for the iPhone 17 range, tailored to each model’s style and appealing to a broad audience in Thailand:

  • iPhone 17: Available in five finishes—Lavender, Mist Blue, Sage, Black, and White. With an aluminum frame, these colours offer a striking yet modern look. On social media, the new Lavender and Sage options have become firm favourites.
  • iPhone 17 Air: Comes in four lighter shades—Space Black, Cloud White, Light Gold, and Sky Blue. Taking inspiration from the M4 MacBook Air, the Sky Blue stands out, while every colour matches the slim 5.6mm form of the Air.
  • iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max: Offered in three colours—Cosmic Orange, Deep Blue, and Silver. The Cosmic Orange provides a lively twist for the Pro models after several years of more subdued hues. Deep Blue calls back to the Blue Titanium version of the iPhone 15 Pro, while Silver adds a classic touch. These models now feature an aluminum unibody for improved cooling and lighter handling, giving the bold colours even more impact.

Thai users have been sharing their opinions online. Sky Blue for the 17 Air and Cosmic Orange for the Pro models are proving popular and seem set to become trend-setting choices nationwide.

Major Features and Improvements

All iPhone 17 models arrive packed with meaningful upgrades. The standard iPhone 17 sports a 6.3-inch Super Retina XDR display with ProMotion for a smoother experience and runs on the new A19 chip. The twin camera setup includes a 48MP Fusion main and a 48MP ultra wide, joined by a 24MP front camera with Centre Stage support.

The iPhone 17 Air becomes the thinnest iPhone so far at just 5.6mm. It has a single 48MP rear camera, a 6.5-inch ProMotion display, and the enhanced A19 Pro chip. Despite a compact 2,800mAh battery, Apple claims improved battery life due to a new high-density design.

For the iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max, a new horizontal camera bar holds a three-lens system with 48MP sensors and a periscope lens delivering up to 8x optical zoom.

Both use the A19 Pro chip and feature 12GB of RAM, vapour chamber cooling, and a bigger battery (up to 4,685mAh for the Pro Max). Advanced photo and video features such as Apple Log 2 and 8K recording make them ideal for creators.

Every iPhone 17 model runs on iOS 26 with the “Liquid Glass” interface, adding translucent menus and smarter Apple Intelligence features, including Visual Intelligence with ChatGPT. All devices include Wi-Fi 7 support and Ceramic Shield 2, boosting durability and keeping devices ready for the future.

Response and Expectations in the Thai Market

The iPhone 17 range has been met with excitement from buyers in Thailand. Many praise the bold new colours, the ultra-thin Air model, and improved cameras. Some are cautious about price increases due to global tariffs, as seen in social media comments, but trade-in offers and EMI plans should help keep the lineup within reach for many.

As the September 19 release date nears, Apple locations such as CentralWorld and Iconsiam in Bangkok are bracing for busy crowds. With fresh colours, a slim new model, and strong value, the iPhone 17 series looks set to be a top choice in Thailand this year. Whether drawn to the standout Sky Blue 17 Air or the feature-rich Pro Max in Cosmic Orange, Thai users can expect a high-quality mobile experience tailored to their needs.
