Arsenal put on a complete show on January 31, 2026, cruising to a 4-0 Premier League win over Leeds United at Elland Road. The victory snapped a short winless spell and put Mikel Arteta’s side seven points clear at the top of the table. Arsenal were sharp in front of goal, calm at the back, and dangerous every time they went forward. Leeds, who had looked steady at home in recent weeks, couldn’t slow them down.

Arsenal took control early and didn’t let go. There was late drama before kickoff as Bukayo Saka picked up an injury in the warm-up. Noni Madueke stepped in on the right wing and made an instant difference. In the 26th minute, he sent in a well-weighted cross that Martin Zubimendi powered home with a header. It was a clean, confident finish and a lead Arsenal fully earned.

The second goal arrived before the break, and Leeds won’t want to see it again. In the 37th minute, Madueke swung in a dangerous corner. Goalkeeper Karl Darlow got a touch under pressure, and the ball ended up in his own net. Arsenal went into halftime 2-0 up, having controlled the ball and created the better chances.

Leeds tried to push higher after the restart and had more possession at times, but they couldn’t turn it into real danger. David Raya was rarely called into action. Arsenal stayed patient and struck again in the 68th minute. Gabriel Martinelli drove a low cross across the box, and Viktor Gyokeres stabbed it in from close range. It was his fourth goal in six games, and it killed off any hope of a comeback.

The visitors added a fourth late on. In the 85th minute, substitute Gabriel Jesus kept his cool and slotted home after some smart work in the final third. It was the perfect finish to a dominant afternoon.

On Sky Sports, Paul Merson gave Arsenal an “A+” and said it looked like “boys vs men” at times. Arsenal kept Leeds quiet, took their chances, and never looked like losing control.

The win also underlined Arsenal’s depth. Madueke stepped in at short notice and played a key role, while Gyokeres and Jesus made their moments count. For Leeds, the loss stopped a decent run of form, with just one defeat in their previous 11 matches before this one.
