CHIANG MAI – The Night Safari has continued to support the plan to make the Chiang Mai Provincial Administration Organization Park a top local attraction. The goal is to add more adorable animals to liven up the park for the public and visitors alike.
Following a recent surge in the popularity of the resident swans, the park welcomed eight pygmy goats from the Night Safari. Their arrival has made the space more lively and appealing for anyone looking to relax or enjoy a stroll.
Soon, the park will introduce the Mandarin duck, known for its striking beauty, sourced from a reputable breeder in Chiang Mai.
On Monday, at the Chiang Mai Provincial Administration Organization Park in Chang Phueak, Mr Pichai Lertpongadisorn, President of the Provincial Administration Organization, together with the Night Safari executives, released a group of eight pygmy goats into the park.
The group includes six males and two females, on loan from the Chiang Mai Night Safari. These goats will remain in the park, where guests who come for exercise or fresh air can enjoy watching them. This follows last week’s release of both black and white swans.
The Provincial Administration Organization had loaned 10 swans and four white swans to the Night Safari for display, which received great feedback. The project will continue to grow in the future.
Mr Pichai said that strong support from locals and visitors for the swans on display at the Provincial Administration Organization Park inspired further action. The Provincial Administration Organization and the Night Safari have teamed up to keep the momentum going and continue to make the park more attractive.
The Night Safari has lent eight pygmy goats, who now stay in a fenced area with a temporary shelter. A more stable, prebuilt house for the goats is under construction and should be ready within the next few days.
The Provincial Administration Organization President also shared that the administration plans to invite more small and charming animals to the park to boost its appeal, benefiting both the community and the city’s tourism industry.
Early discussions have taken place with the Pa Miang Subdistrict Municipality in Doi Saket, known for breeding and selling Mandarin ducks, often considered the most beautiful ducks in the world. The park expects to launch this new attraction soon, building its reputation as a favourite spot for both locals and travellers to unwind and enjoy nature.
