PATTAYA – A British man faced an angry crowd after pulling risky motorcycle stunts in Pattaya and crashing into a Thai woman, leaving her badly hurt. The crash happened in Nong Prue, Bang Lamung, Chonburi.

Police reached the scene around 5 pm and found the woman, identified as 49-year-old Ms Jurairat, lying on the road next to her damaged pink Honda Scoopy. Rescue teams gave her CPR straight away. She had a serious head injury and several cuts, and her condition was critical when she was taken to the hospital.

According to people nearby, the British tourist had been doing wheelies along the road before smashing into the woman and then tried to place the blame on her. Bystanders lost their patience and attacked him, leaving him with injuries too.

Police broke up the chaos before letting medics treat both of them and get them to the hospital.

Eyewitnesses described the young Brit’s riding as reckless, with near-misses involving people on the street. At the crash site, Ms Jurairat had been riding in a normal way.

When the Brit popped another wheelie, he lost control and ploughed into her, sending them both tumbling across the road in different directions.

Officers at the scene said they would review local CCTV footage to figure out exactly what happened and make sure the case is handled fairly for everyone involved.

A few days before, Pattaya Police responded to another motorcycle crash on Jomtien Second Road, heading towards Sukhumvit, at 11:50 pm on 11 August. Sawang Boriboon rescue volunteers helped the injured at the scene.

One black Honda PCX was found wrecked, its 17-year-old rider with head injuries. The pillion passenger, aged 20, suffered a severe head wound and several cuts.

Nearby, officers found another damaged bike, a black Honda ADV. A large ziplock bag filled with cannabis was left behind. The 19-year-old passenger from that bike was hurt, but the rider and another foreign friend ran away as soon as the crash happened.

Bystanders said the PCX was turning near a pedestrian crossing when the other bike, ridden by a foreigner, slammed into it from the side. This caused injuries to several people. One woman who had been a third passenger said both foreign men fled, leaving her hurt on the road.

Police are now collecting evidence and checking CCTV to track down the foreigners involved and press charges.

Tourists behaving badly on motorcycles in Pattaya have been a recurring issue, causing disturbances and safety concerns. Tourists often rent motorbikes without proper licenses or insurance, ignoring helmet laws and local traffic rules.

Nighttime riding is particularly risky due to chaotic traffic, poor road conditions, and reduced visibility, leading to accidents. These incidents contribute to Pattaya’s image as a chaotic destination, with locals urging authorities to enforce traffic laws and regulate rental businesses to ensure safer streets
