BANGKOK – The Consumer Protection Police Division has arrested two women who were offering Botox, filler, and skin-booster injections without a medical license. The two suspects, who said they had only vocational and high school education, admitted they learned the work while previously employed at beauty clinics and were earning up to six figures a month
Key Takeaways:
- Police raided two homes used as secret beauty clinics, one in Bueng Kum, Bangkok, and another in Samut Prakan.
- The suspects admitted they had no medical licenses and had been injecting clients for about two years.
- Authorities seized medical supplies, cosmetic products, and unregistered skin-booster items as evidence.
On July 6, Pol. Maj. Gen. Kongkrit Lertsitthikun, commander of the Consumer Protection Police Division, ordered Pol. Col. Weeraphong Khlai-thong, chief of Division 4, to work with the Department of Health Service Support under the Ministry of Public Health. The team searched two locations after receiving reports that both places were being used to provide cosmetic injection services without permission.

Bangkok Homes Turned Into Makeshift Clinics
When officers entered the properties, they found ordinary residential houses on the outside. Inside, however, both homes had been set up as temporary cosmetic treatment rooms.
Police told reporters the two women, identified as 31-year-old Thanthathorn and 25-year-old Nawaporn, were running the injections themselves even though neither had a license to practice medicine.
Officers arrested both suspects and seized a large number of medical tools, treatment supplies, and unregistered skin-care products. The items are now being held as evidence.
During questioning, Thanthathorn admitted she had finished vocational school. She said she had worked at beauty clinics and aesthetic clinics for about six to seven years, which gave her enough knowledge to start offering injections on her own.

Women Formally Charged
She told police she promoted the service through Facebook and ran package deals for Botox and filler injections, with prices starting at 790 baht and going up to 4,990 baht.
According to her statement, she had been doing this for more than two years, seeing around two to five customers a day. She said her monthly income was about 100,000 to 120,000 baht, and that she bought the products online.
Nawaporn said she only finished Grade 12, but had gained experience from working in beauty clinics for several years. She then began giving skin-booster injections to clients herself. At first, most customers were friends, and word of mouth helped her client list grow.
She said her prices ranged from 1,000 to 5,000 baht, and that she had been doing the work for about two years. Her monthly income, she said, was around 30,000 baht.
Police initially charged both women under the Private Hospital Act of 1998 for allowing people who are not licensed professionals to carry out medical work inside a clinic. The case has been handed over to investigators at Division 4 of the Consumer Protection Police Division for further legal action.
