BANGKOK – Thai police have launched a major crackdown on a high-profile drug network operating in Bangkok. Special officers raided a luxury resort and a high-end condominium, uncovering a massive illegal drug operation.
During the targeted raid, officers arrested 12 individuals who were allegedly holding a drug party. The operation successfully stopped a criminal network that distributed modified electronic cigarettes filled with dangerous narcotics.
Key Takeaways
- Twelve Suspects Apprehended: Police arrested 12 individuals at a luxury resort, including two major suspects wanted for attempted murder and drug possession.
- Massive Seizure Value: The operation uncovered illegal drugs, production equipment, and vape pods valued at over 25 million Baht.
- Dangerous Drug Innovation: Criminals mixed dangerous chemicals like Etomidate into e-cigarette pods, distributing over 10,000 units to local buyers.
Acting on reliable intelligence, the Patrol and Special Operations Division raided a resort near Ram Intra-Ekamai Road. According to the official report by Matichon, officers discovered a group partying inside a dimly lit room with loud music playing.
The police quickly detained all 12 individuals inside the room, which included a French tourist. Among the arrested individuals, two men were high-profile suspects actively evading arrest warrants for violent crimes and possession of ketamine.
During the search, officers found large quantities of ecstasy, crystal methamphetamine, and ketamine scattered around the room. They also searched a suspicious pickup truck parked outside, which contained additional illegal substances and modified vape pods.

Expanding the Investigation
The successful operation did not stop at the resort raid. Investigators used their legal authority to expand the search to a luxury condominium located in the Rama 9-Asoke area.
This apartment belonged to one of the main suspects, who admitted to using the room for packaging. Inside the luxury condo, police discovered 115 specialized vape pods and 130 grams of raw Etomidate powder.
The suspect confessed that he purchased the raw chemical powder from a Thai woman known as “JJ.” He paid roughly 65,000 Baht per 100 grams to secure the dangerous chemical substance.
The illegal operation turned raw chemical powders into highly profitable products for the local black market. The suspects mixed the chemical substances into liquid solutions to fill electronic cigarette pods.
Each modified pod was sold to young buyers and partygoers for 2,500 Baht. The network confessed to manufacturing and selling more than 10,000 pods before the police finally caught them.
All 12 suspects are currently in police custody facing serious drug charges. They have been transferred to local police stations, including Chok Chai and Phahonyothin, for strict legal prosecution.
