(CTN News) – According to a statement released by an official, an earthquake measuring 6.1 on the Richter scale was reported to have struck the northwest Turkish province of Balikesir on Sunday.

It is estimated that approximately twelve separate structures collapsed as a direct result of the earthquake. There were at least two people trapped in the debris of a fallen structure because of the force of the collapse.

The structure had collapsed due to the earthquake’s force.

The reports of shocks came from Istanbul, which is around 200 kilometers (125 miles) north. With a population of over 16 million, Istanbul is a major city. The city is a metropolitan area.

The analysis concludes that the earthquake’s epicenter was the town of Sindirgi. This was the conclusion that the study came to. Serkan Sak, the mayor of Sindirgi, stated that four persons were saved from a building that had collapsed in the town during an interview with the Turkish news program HaberTurk.

The damaged building was in Sindirgi. At the same time, rescue personnel were exerting tremendous effort to get to the other two individuals trapped inside the building. Two further individuals were confined to the building.

Furthermore, he stated that some houses in the nearby village of Golcuk had collapsed as a result of the earthquake. The earthquake was responsible for this specific outcome. The earthquake also caused the minaret of a mosque within the settlement to collapse.

Health Minister Kemal Memisoglu informed X that a hospital was currently treating four patients. X received this information. He further stated that the general public had access to this information. He assessed that none of them were in a position that could have led to their death or serious injury.

No question existed in his mind that they were safe. The mayor of the province capital, also known as Balikesir, Ahmet Akin, told HaberTurk, “We hope to get through this phase without any loss of life.” The city is also known as Balikesir. Another city with the same name is called Balikesir.

Additionally, there is another city in the area called Balikesir. Another city that is located in the area is called Balikesir. It is in the area as well.

The Turkish Disaster and Emergency Management Agency said in a statement that several aftershocks, including one with a magnitude of 4.6, followed the earthquake and warned Turkish citizens not to enter buildings that had been damaged during the incident.

4.6 was the magnitude of this aftershock. 4.6 magnitude aftershock recorded.

According to a statement released by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, he hopes that everyone impacted may recover quickly from their illness. The statement was given in the official capacity.

He left the following message on the social media platform: X: “May God protect our country from any kind of disaster.” This remark was written by him.

Turkey’s position on top of important fault lines makes it vulnerable to earthquakes. As a result of this vulnerability, Turkey is vulnerable to earthquakes, making the nation vulnerable to seismic activity.

In 2023, Turkey saw an earthquake with a magnitude of 7.8, which claimed the lives of almost 53,000 people. After all, the nation’s disaster was ultimately brought on by the earthquake. Furthermore, it caused hundreds of thousands of buildings in eleven provinces in the country’s south and southeast to be destroyed or damaged.

The southern and southeastern regions of the United States are home to these provinces. The neighboring country of Syria also suffered another 6,000 fatalities in its northern regions. The conflict has an impact on these areas. You will discover the nation of Syria in this place.
