Backflip on a Trampoline
SHARE

Backflip. It’s the trick that most kids, teens, and even adults want to learn once they become confident in jumping on a trampoline. While many think that it is necessary to have some acrobatic skills in order to do a backflip, that is not the case.

Learning how to do a backflip on a trampoline is relatively easy. Let’s see how it’s done!

What is a backflip?

Basically, a backflip is a stunning trick in gymnastics and acrobatics where one jumps backwards, rotates the body a full 360 degrees, and lands on their feet. It’s an intricate move that needs lots of training and physical ability. It’s a popular technique seen in various sports, including gymnastics, parkour, BMX, and skateboarding.

While it’s considered to be a somewhat advanced move in gymnastics, it’s much easier to do on a trampoline, as the bounce helps to get enough air to complete the trick. But how to actually do the backflip on a trampoline? Keep reading!

Steps to do the backflip on a Trampoline

Step 1: Jump on Your Back. Do basic jumps a few times and then simply lean back to land on your back. Do this several times to get used to the feeling.

Step 2: Do the Same Jump Tucked. Same as in step 1, but this time, you need to tuck yourself in by grabbing your legs in the air.

Step 3: Try Pullovers. Pullover is a common trick that most beginners learn to do first. It could be described as a backwards somersault in the air. Having a similar feeling to the backflip on a trampoline, it is recommended to learn it first.

Step 4: Attempt the Backflip. Once you have mastered Step 3, it is time to do the real thing. Stay confident while in the air and never hesitate mid-air.

Step 5: Work to Nail the Perfect Landing. Completing Step 4 means that you’ve basically done it! Now, it’s just time to work on the landing. Focus on getting enough air in order to have enough time to land on your feet.

Bonus tip: watch backflip video tutorials

Unless you have friends who have already mastered the art of flipping backwards, chances are you need extra reassurance before attempting any flips – after all, not knowing how to actually do it could lead to a dangerous situation.

Therefore, watching video tutorials provided by trampoline tricking professionals is highly recommended. For a high-quality backflip tutorial, hop over to this website to see the video.
