CHIANG RAI – Singha Park Chiang Rai is bringing an open-air Khon performance to its International Balloon Festival, one of the biggest balloon events in ASEAN. The show puts audiences close to the action and takes place in a beautiful outdoor setting by the lake.
This special production features the Wang Na artists along with more than 200 young performers from Chiang Rai. The program, titled “Mangkorn Kan Chansa Ketsorn Thomala Mahamit,” stands out for its graceful choreography, detailed costumes, and modern light, color, and sound effects. As a result, it has drawn strong interest from visitors and travelers.
The Khon show runs for two nights, February 13 and 14, 2026, from 6:00 PM to 7:15 PM, at the lakeside area of Singha Park Chiang Rai.
Besides the Khon performance, guests can enjoy over 30 colorful hot air balloons from 13 countries. The festival also features Valentine’s activities, including Balloon Love, marriage registration, and sky love messages from 14 couples, which added a romantic feel to the event.
In addition, there are concerts across five days and five nights, plus an international balloon competition with prize money of more than 100,000 baht. Families can also visit the kids zone, join workshops, and shop for local food and community products.
For those who want more action, the event includes adventure activities like a zipline with high-angle views, ATV rides, and a farm tour through the tea fields. The festival took place from February 11 to 15 at Singha Park, Chiang Rai.
