CHIANG RAI – Manmin Central Church, led by Senior Pastor Dr. Soojin Lee, shared that it hosted a 15th anniversary worship service on March 1 at Chiang Rai Manmin Church in Chiang Rai, Thailand.
Along with the service, the church also held cultural activities to help members connect and spend time together.
In the first part of the service, Rev. Miyoung Lee, vice president of the Pastors’ Association, preached a message titled “Pressing Toward the Goal.” Church leaders said the anniversary was a time to look back on the past 15 years of ministry and to renew their plans for what comes next.
After the worship service, the gathering shifted to a hands-on cultural exchange. Attendees made som tam, Thailand’s well-known green papaya salad, and organizers said the activity helped people talk, laugh, and build friendships naturally.
The church added that it has shared Korean food in the past through K-food events, especially when overseas members, including visitors from Thailand, traveled to South Korea for the annual Manmin Summer Retreat. This program continued that two-way exchange.
Later that day, a makeup artist from the church’s missionary team led a K-beauty session and introduced popular Korean beauty trends. Church officials said local participants showed strong interest and stayed engaged throughout the lesson.
A church representative said the 15th anniversary will help the congregation keep faith and culture connected in future outreach, while also building closer ties with nearby churches.
