Vietjet Thailand Confirms Direct Flights to Tokyo and Osaka early February 2026

Direct Flights From Chiang Mai To Osaka To Be Launched By Thai Vietjet

BANGKOK– Vietjet Thailand confirms its readiness to commence direct services to Japan in February 2026, operated by its new Boeing 737 8 aircraft. The upcoming new services mark a continued expansion of the airline’s international network, further facilitating travel demand growth while strengthening operational capability and regional connectivity across Asia.

Following the progressive delivery of Boeing 737 8 aircraft, with a total of eight brand-new aircraft already arrived in the fleet and deployed on domestic routes, Vietjet Thailand is fully prepared to operate direct flights from Bangkok (Suvarnabhumi Airport) to Tokyo (Narita) and Osaka (Kansai), with the following details.

Vietjet Thailand Confirms Direct Flights to Tokyo and Osaka early February 2026

Bangkok (Suvarnabhumi) – Tokyo (Narita)

For the Bangkok–Tokyo service, outbound flight VZ830 will begin service on 1 February 2026, departing Bangkok (Suvarnabhumi) at 23:55 HRS and arriving in Tokyo (Narita) at 07:55 HRS the following day, while the inbound service VZ831 will commence on 2 February 2026, departing Tokyo (Narita) at 08:55 HRS and arriving in Bangkok (Suvarnabhumi) at 14:30 HRS.

Bangkok (Suvarnabhumi) – Osaka (Kansai)

For the Bangkok–Osaka service, outbound flight VZ820 will commence on 3 February 2026, departing Bangkok (Suvarnabhumi) at 00:25 HRS and arriving in Osaka (Kansai) at 07:55 HRS, while inbound flight VZ821 will operate from 3 February 2026, departing Osaka (Kansai) at 08:55 HRS and arriving in Bangkok (Suvarnabhumi) at 13:30 HRS.

This fleet development also supports our plans to expand services to additional destinations in the future, further strengthening Vietjet Thailand’s network and offering more travel options across the region.”

Vietjet Thailand Confirms Direct Flights to Tokyo and Osaka early February 2026

The new Boeing 737-8 aircraft features a higher seating capacity of 189 seats and enhances passenger comfort with the Boeing Sky Interior, modern LED lighting, and larger overhead baggage compartments.

Powered by LEAP-1B engines and incorporating advanced aerodynamic design, the aircraft improves fuel efficiency, reduces noise levels, and supports the use of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF), in line with International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) standards, as part of Vietjet Thailand’s fleet expansion plan.

Tickets for the Bangkok (Suvarnabhumi) – Tokyo (Narita) and Bangkok (Suvarnabhumi) – Osaka (Kansai) routes are now available for purchase. Vietjet Thailand is offering a special promotional fare starting from THB 0 (excluding taxes and fees), open for booking from 12–15 January 2026, for travel between 16 February and 30 November 2026. Reservations can be made via www.vietjetair.com, subject to terms and conditions.

The launch of direct services to Tokyo (Narita) and Osaka (Kansai) represents another important milestone in Vietjet Thailand’s international growth, strengthening air connectivity between Thailand and Japan to meet increasing demand from both leisure and business travelers.
